  George and Krista Tagli

George: I am from the Chicago area. I have had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home which taught me about the love of the Lord. I was thrilled to receive Jesus Christ as my personal savior at the age of five. Since then God has given me a deep desire to use sports to further His kingdom. I have loved playing sports since I was a young child and when I was in high school the Lord showed me that sports could give my life true meaning and worth by using them to serve Him. Throughout high school and college, God has blessed me with the opportunity to witness, teach, mentor, and have a part in seeing Him save and change people’s lives. My wife and I are thrilled to be serving the Lord alongside the ministry of National Hoops to the praise of His glory.

Krista:

I have been a blessed child of God since I was 6 years old. Being raised in a Christian home and being surrounded with godly influences has helped carve out my path that the Lord designed. It is God’s sovereignty that has brought me to where I am. He has turned my life upside down from what it could have been! His power and grace has led me to desire a life of servant hood to Him. He has taken my one potentially “less than useful” life and given me purpose with a life worth living! I am so delighted that He has placed National Hoops in my pathway and I can not wait to see what all He will accomplish through it.

Jonathan Spilger

I was saved at the age of 4, when I realized my sin and need of a savior. At the age of 8 God called me to preach. Since then God has guided me in steps of growth to prepare me for what He wants me to do. I have viewed my life, so far, not just as preparation for the future but also as taking opportunity to serve God now. These opportunities include preaching and ministering in a local nursing home and helping to pioneer a ministry in a low-in-come, high crime apartment complex. Aside from traveling with National Hoops, my future plans are to take Bible classes with our church’s Bible Institute and various other classes, while continuing to work in my local church.

    Lacy Harris

I was born in Spartanburg, SC and grew up there my whole life. God has blessed me with a loving Christian family. I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. I always thought I was saved at the age of 4, but I couldn’t really remember anything about it. I struggled with doubts about my salvation for about 2 or 3 years. Finally, I realized I needed to be saved and at the age of 9 or 10 I believed on Jesus Christ to save me from my sins. I am now 18 years old and just graduated from Westgate Christian School. When I attend college, I am planning to attend Bob Jones University and major in Elementary Education. I am so amazed at how God has used me this summer. I have had the opportunity to travel with Missionsports to Hong Kong and serve God there, and now I have the awesome opportunity to travel with National Hoops this semester! I am really excited to see what God has in store for the future!
