Dear Family and Friends,
Thanksgiving has come and gone, but how can we not LIVE in a constant state of gratitude when we examine the vast evidence of God’s Grace that is overwhelming our lives?! It is hard to put into words just how amazed I am at the Grace of God specifically manifested in the precious PEOPLE that He has brought into our lives over the years. We are so thankful to the Lord for those who pray for us…those who give….those who encourage…those who counsel…those who offer their services..those who sacrifice….those who listen….those who confront…those who lead….those who comfort….It is you who we “thank …. God upon every remembrance of you” Thank you for allowing God to use you for His GLORY!
Spring Lake, NC---It was neat to see God open up doors through the week in the schools, sometimes at the very last minute permission would be granted to pass out fliers. God brought out 11 teams on Saturday with an unusually high number of parents and other non players who came to the gym to watch. There are churches everywhere in North Carolina, yet God seemed to bring us people who were ready to hear the TRUTH about the Gospel and how they could be saved. God poured out His Spirit on the service and we praise the Lord for the 30 people who got saved including 4 moms, 1 dad and a 7 yr old! What a wonderful display of God’s power.
Tampa, FL---When I graduated from college and headed to Westgate Baptist Church to be the Youth Pastor, the first teen in my office was a 9th grade boy named Justin Jarrett and his brother…Justin is now the youth pastor down in Tampa and was our host for the week! It was blessing to see how God is using Justin and his family and how they are faithfully serving him. Tampa was a tough place to recruit, but we added an adult division for the tournament in order to expand a bit and it was great to see God bring out 12 teams including one team that came from .... God worked in the service and 15 people made a decision for the Lord including a ... who was a part of the adult division and ... players.
Please pray for team members for next semester and that God would give wisdom in selecting who would be the best fit.
We are glad to be home for a bit, but please pray that much needed work would be accomplished in preparation for next semester and the summer as well as projects for the ministry.
Thank you for your impact on eternity!
